HPLC Separation of 5-Methyltetrahydrofolic Acid and Degradation Products

5-MTHF is a form of folic acid, one of the B vitamins. Folic acid is an essential vitamin used in synthesis of genetic molecules (DNA, RNA) and for the metabolism of amino acids. The separation of 5-MTHF can be achieved using reverse-phase (RP) Primesep SB column by hydrophobic, anion-exchange and ion-exclusion mechanisms. The method can be used for quality control (QC), research and development (R&D), etc. Fine tuning can be achieved with variations in mobile phase, pH and buffer selection. UV detection at 290mn.

Primesep SB

The Primesep family of mixed-mode columns offers a wide variety of stationary phases, boasting unprecedented selectivity in the separation of a broad array of chemical compounds across multiple applications. Corresponding Primesep guard columns, available with all stationary phases, do not require holders. SIELC provides a method development service available to all customers.
