Analysis of Nicotinic Acid and Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) on Newcrom AH Column
HPLC.cloud View on hplc.cloud Nicotinamide is the amide form of nicotinic acid. Nicotinic acid is in the vitamin B group and is converted to nicotinamide in vivo. Newcrom AH  was used to separate nicotinamide and nicotinic acid.  Newcrom AH separates acids using ion-exclusion, retains basic compounds by cation-exchange, and neutral compounds by reverse-phase mechanism.

Condition

Column Newcrom AH, 4.6x150 mm, 5 µm, 100A
Mobile Phase MeCN/H2O - 50/50%
Buffer H3PO4 - 0.5%
Flow Rate 1.0 ml/min
Detection UV, 210 nm
