HPLC Analysis of Chlorpyrifos-methyl
Chlorpyrifos-methyl is an organiphosphate insecticide also known and Dursban and Lorsban. It has been banned for home use since 2001 due to its toxicity, but is one of the most widely used organophosphate insecticides according to the EPA. Chlorpyrifos-methyl is on the EURL–SRM list of target pesticides in cereals and feeding stuffs. Chlorpyrifos-methyl was retained on Obelisc R, a mixed-mode HPLC column which contains ionic groups and hydrophobic chain. Method is LC/MS compatible and can be used as a general approach for analyzing chlorpyrifos-methyl and other organophosphate insecticides.

Chlorpyrifos-methyl Separation Using Obelisc and Primesep Columns
Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos-methyl are amongst the most widely used pesticides. Chlorpyrifos is considered a target pesticide by the EURL (European Union Reference Laboratory) for the EURL-CF9 and Obelisc R and Primesep B2 were used to separate chlorpyrifos-methyl and its impurities using a single multiresidue method, which can be used for many pesticides. Obelisc R contains embedded ionic and hydrophobic groups which can assist in fine tuning separations, while Primesep B2 contains embedded basic ion-pairing groups. Method is LC/MS compatible and can be used as a general approach for analyzing organophosphate pesticides.

HPLC Retention of Chlorpyrifos-methyl on Primesep 100 and Obelisc R Mixed-Mode Columns
  Chlorpyrifos-methyl, an organophosphate pesticide is considered a target pesticide by the EURL (European Union Reference Laboratory) for the EUPT-FF9 2015 a proficiency test for the analysis of a over a hundred pesticides. This compound was separated on two different mixed-mode columns, Primesep 100 and Obelisc R. Primesep 100 is a reverse phase column that contains embedded acidic ion-pairing groups, while Obelisc R retains with long hydrophobic chains and multiple ionic pairing groups on the surface. Method is LC/MS compatible and can be replicated to analyze dozens of other pesticides.
