HPLC Method for Analysis of Fenofibrate
8

Fenofibrate is a synthetic Peroxisome Proliferator Receptor alpha (PPAR alpha) Agonist as well as a antilipemic agent. It is used to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (LDL, triglycerides) by increasing the natural enzyme that breaks down fats in the blood. Primesep 200, a reverse phase column, contains embedded acidic ionizable groups and can retain Propranolol. The method is UV compatible and can be used as a general approach for analyzing similar compounds.
