HPLC Method for Analysis of Fluticasone Propionate in Nasal Spray on Newcrom R1 Column

HPLC Method for Fluticasone propionate on Newcrom R1 by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Fluticasone propionate

Fluticasone Propionate is a corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory conditions. It is available in multiple forms, most notably as a nasal spray, inhaler, and a topical cream.  It reduces inflammation through binding glucocorticoid receptors inside cells, preventing production and release of inflammatory mediators like histamines, cytokines, and leukotrienes.

Fluticasone Propionate can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom R1 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes a isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water, acetonitrile (MeCN). Detection is performed using UV.

Condition

Column Newcrom R1, 3.2 x 100 mm, 3 µm, 100 A, dual ended
Mobile Phase MeCN/H2O – 70/30%
Buffer H3PO4 – 0.1 %
Flow Rate 0.5 ml/min
Detection UV, 238 nm
